Congratulations to
Dennis Feller

In partnership with the Veterans Coordination Commission, we are pleased to present the June 2008 Veteran of the Month Recognition to Dennis L. Feller.

Dennis Feller joined the Air Force in 1965 and was given a Direct Duty Assignment to the Fuels Management career field and assigned to Andrews AFB, DC. Upon his first assignment to Ellsworth, he cross-trained into the Missile Field as a Facility Manager. During his military career, Dennis was assigned to various bases in the United States, Korea and Turkey. Upon his return to Ellsworth in 1980, he remained in the Fuels Management Branch until his retirement as Master Sergeant in January, 1989.

Dennis Feller's awards and decorations include: Air Force Commendation Medal w/Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), AAAF Good Conduct Medal with/1 Silver and 1 Bronze OLC, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, AF Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Medal Award Ribbon w/4 OLC, NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon and the AF Training Ribbon. Dennis was also awarded the Senior Missileman Badge during his assignment as Facility Manager to the missile sites. During his tour in Korea, he actively participated in working with an orphanage that was sponsored through his Squadron.

After retirement in 1989, Dennis was employed at the Target store for twenty-three years retiring in December, 2007. Dennis and Sheryl have been married for forty-one years and have three grown sons. Dennis has completed the requirements for a Community College of Air Force in Fuels Management and real estate. He is a life member of the Retired Enlisted Association and presently holds the position of three-year director and is the local TREA Chapter Scholarship Chair.

Dennis epitomizes the high standards of the military. His three sons have served in the military and he is most proud of their dedication and patriotism to this venture. He is a true leader for the military philosophy way of life.
